Dr. Githinji Gitahi joined Amref Health Africa as the Group Chief Executive Officer in June 2015. He is also Co-Chair of the UHC2030 Steering Committee, a global World Bank and World Health Organization (WHO) initiative for Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Amref Health Africa, founded in 1957, is the largest African-led international organization on the continent and reaches more than 11 million people each year through 150 health-focused projects across 35 countries. AMREFs vision is to create lasting health change in Africa by implementing a model of community health systems and with a focus on the health of women and children.

Adrian Thomas is the Vice President, Global Strategy, & Policy for Global Public Health with Johnson & Johnson. Adrian has a special interest in the fields of public health, commercial and market access strategy, and pharmaceutical policy. He also held numerous roles in market access including Global Head Health Economics & Market Access Medical Devices. He was Global Head of Market Access for Janssen, the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, as well as roles in risk management and drug safety, including Global Head of Benefit-Risk Manager and Chief Safety Officer for Janssen. Prior to joining J&J, Adrian held roles in regional medical affairs, drug development, and product management for Schering-Plough and Eli Lilly. He is a clinical pharmacologist and vascular physician with experience in clinical trial design and methodology.
